POGIL Classroom and Labs
(Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning)
POGIL is an acronym for Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning. Because POGIL is a student-centered instructional approach, in a typical POGIL classroom or laboratory, students work in small teams with the instructor acting as a facilitator. The student teams use specially designed activities that generally follow a learning cycle paradigm.

Use discipline content to facilitate the development of important process skills, including higher-level thinking and ability to apply knowledge in new contexts.
Key Elements of the POGIL
A POGIL classroom consists of students working in small, self-managed teams on specially designed guided inquiry materials.
POGIL focuses on developing process skills in addition to mastering course content.
Instruction in a POGIL classroom is student-centred. The instructor serves predominantly as a facilitator of student learning.

Skill on Wheels Project (Kaushalya Ratha)
Under SANKALP scheme of Karnataka State Skill Development Corporation, we are executing this very esteemed and functional project. KSDC intends to design, develop, & execute Skill-On-Wheel training for rural youth through accredited agencies.
The Government of Karnataka has proposed to impart mobile training programme under Chief Minister Kaushalya Karnataka Yojana (CMKKY) for eight districts. Training on mobile vehicles reaches nook and corner of the State, making youth self-employable.

National Skill Development Context
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) was set up in November 2014 to drive the 'Skill India' agenda. The MSDE launched the National Skill Development Mission (NSDM) to create an end-to-end implementation framework providing opportunities for quality short and long-term Skill Development programs, leading to productive employment and career progression.
